Flange Isolation kits
Product Overview
Description
A flange isolation kit utilizes a sealing/isolation gasket, considered a mechanical seal. Used for sealing or sealing/isolating flanged connections, filling the space. Preventing leaks and the buildup of corrosion, preserving the longevity of the pipelines integrity. For complete isolation of the flange, isolating sleeves and washers are used.
Full Length Sleeves pass entirely through both flanges, the sealing/isolation gasket both isolation washers, and half way through the steel back-up washers on each side.
Double Washer Set consists of 2 each steel back-up washers and 2 each retainer washers. Steel back-up washers need to be supplied with the same O.D. and I.D. as the isolation washer. If not, compressive load from the steel back-up washer if not equally distributed over the retainer washer, could cause the retainer washer to crack. If this occurs, the gasket may not receive proper load and electrical isolation will most likely be lost.
TRIPAC stocks the following flange isolation kits, 2” thru 36”. For larger diameter flange isolation kits, a large diameter verification form will need to be completed, for engineered drawings to be generated and signed off on prior to production.
- Nitrile Faced Phenolic Gasket/Mylar Sleeves/Phenolic Sleeves/Steel ZP Washers (Double Set)
- NSF 61: G10/EPDM Gasket/G10 Sleeves/Steel ZP Washers (Double Set)
